Chocolate Caramel Bars

These are delicious....although a little bit of a pain to make {but totally worth it}


1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix
1 pkg caramels
1 pkg chocolate chips
1 can evaporated milk
3/4 C Butter

Unwrap all the caramels, melt caramels with 1/3 C of evaporated milk. Melt slowly so it doesn't burn. Mix well.

Mix other 1/3 C milk, butter and cake mix together.

Put 1/2 of the cake mixture into 9x13 greased and floured pan and bake for 6 minutes. Remove from oven and pour caramel mixture over top. Sprinkle chocolate chips over caramel. Put remaining cake mixture on top. {it's a little hard to spread out the cake mix, just do the best you can...it will look like this when you remove it from the oven}

Let cool and ENJOY!!! {they really do need to cool, we tried to eat them too early and they were not as good!}
